Emerging Trends in Automotive Technology

SAE GLAU under the aegis of the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized Workshop on Emerging Trends in Automotive Technology, in which students from B.Tech, Diploma, and BBA of various disciplines took part and quenched their thirst for automotive knowledge, Mr. Sarthak Shukla, B.Tech ME 3rd year(Secretary, SAE) acted as a resource person. Participants learnt and understood about the working of the engine, transmission, suspension, Catalytic converter, 4*4, etc. for different kinds of automobiles.

Enduro Student India 2018

Department of ME under the roof of ASME organized a Coding workshop cum quiz contest under IMPETUS 6.0, in which students from various disciplines like ME, CSE, EE, ECE took part and got to learn the fundamentals and implementation of coding. The winners were also awarded with certificates. Mr Harsh Shukla, Mr Ayush Rajput won the quiz contest.

Online Guest lecture on Introduction to Automotive Systems

Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a 2 days guest lecture series on Automotive Systems specifically for B.Tech Hons students. In this the resource person was Mr Nitin Kukreja ( Mamsys Consultancy Ltd, MS, France). Students got an insight towards latest technologies like Automatic Transmission, Torque converter, CVT, Epicyclic Gear train etc. 30 Students participated in the guest lectures.

SAE BAJA Virtuals 2019

We are having SAE Collegiate club running in GLA University, which continuously encourages the students to have zeal to do something significant in the field of automotives. The students take part in events like: SAE BAJA, ATV events, exhibitions etc under the roof of SAE Collegiate club. The faculty mentors closely motivate and promote the students to bring their creativity out of their brain to the workshop. In the same league our Team of SAE Students participated in SAE BAJA 2019 Virtuals during July 2019 at Chitkara University, Chandigarh and got appreciations from National and International panels over there. The team included Syed Faiz Ali, Akshat Srivastava, Suyash Tyagi, Mr Gaurav Pant (Faculty Mentor). Participants explained about the design of engine, transmission, suspension, Catalytic converter for their self-built ATV to the expert panel.

SAE in association with ETG, Guest Lecture on Industry Acadamia Collaboration

SAE GLAU in Association with Elite Techno Group, Jaipur under the aegis of Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Academia Industry collaborative(AIC) programme in which Mr Mayank Arora, CEO, ETG, Jaipur, Mr I V Rao, Ex Director Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and many other dignitaries addressed the students and faculty members, in online mode. Students understood the value of industrial setup awareness and Academia Industry Collaboration (AIC) for academic development purposes. Resource persons explained about various manufacturing processes used in building the cars.

SAE Workshop on Engine Overhauling

In this event, total dismantling of an automobile engine is done and functionality of each and every minute parts is explained to the young minds by experts, and finally assembling is done to bring the engine again in working state. It’s a total hands-on experience event. Students get to learn in the best manner, i.e., pragmatically. The participants understood the complete working of an engine and how the power is transmitted from engine to the road wheels. Mr. Ritesh Dixit (Technical Manager) demonstrated the various parts and subassemblies of the automobile engine.

SAE World inside Engine

Students are taught all theory regarding working of engine via animations and presentations by students itself and afterwards, hands on experience is done in CAR, Finally a quiz is organized to gauge their knowledge and winners are felicitated. Participants got to know about 4 strokes of a 4 stroke engine and comparison of a 2 stroke and 4 stroke engine. It was coordinated and managed by Mr Raghavendra Uttam and Mr Pranay Pushp. B.Tech, ME.
